Website Design – Perrin Ag Consultants

Perrin Ag Consultants Web Design Rotorua Envy Web And Design

Client: Perrin Ag Consultants, Rotorua

Brief: To redesign an outdated website to create a modern, relevant and authentic picture of the company and how they can help their present and future clients.

Perrin Ag Consultants are agribusiness advisors, based in Rotorua but working across New Zealand. They specialise in farm advisory and management, Māori agribusiness and sustainable agriculture.

Started in the early 2000’s, the company has grown to a team of 18 people, with clients across New Zealand. While farm management services still provides a cornerstone of the firm’s work, with 26 properties from Culverden to Pukehina, the business now has a significant family farm client base and works with businesses across the food value chain.

The website redesign came after the rebrand was complete for Perrin Ag. This set the tone for the site – based on the four vibrant colours that are used in the logo mark. The website font was also set by the brand guidelines.

The old site was not responsive, and was also difficult to keep up to date. To address this, we made a new, full-width responsive website, that uses a very simple-to-use website builder. This allows both ease of use on the front, and back-end of the website.

Another important part of the website was that it needed to be able to switch between English and Te Reo. Perrin Ag currently provides 23 Māori-owned farms with operational oversight (2.5mil kg MS, c. 50,000 SU) across the motu and has 50+ active Māori client relationships, including whanau, hapu, iwi, collective and government level entities. Māori agribusiness comprises 40% of the firm’s revenue, across the value-chain, and the firm has been involved with two Ahuwhenua wins (Kapenga M Trust 2003 & 2012) and one finals placing (Kokako Trust 2006). Working with a translator, the site is able to be browsed entirely in Māori.

The end result is a beautiful, engaging and simple to use website, that will take Perrin Ag forward into the future.
